Do I need to repair or replace my Mac?
If your screen’s become defective it may not automatically mean it needs replacing. Obviously if it’s broken, there’s nothing we can do but replace it. But if you have a blank screen , or there’s a very shadowy image, it could be that the screen cable or inverter are faulty, which would indicate that the screen was still OK.
